Volunteer to Build the Health Fest!

Community Meetings

Community meetings to build the 2017 Uhuru Health Festival & Flea Market will be held on Wednesdays: February 8th & 22nd, March 8th & 22nd, April 5th, 12th & 19th.The meetings are on the second floor at Uhuru Furniture & Collectibles (832 N. Broad St.), from 6:30-8pm.

Another great way to volunteer for the Health Fest is by distributing flyers for the meetings! You can come to the store (see the address above) and pick some up, or you can download a PDF of the flyers to print yourself.

If you'd like to contribute to the building of the Health Fest by coming to one of the community meetings, or in some other way, please call (215) 546-9616.

Volunteer at the Health Festival!

On the day of the Health Fest there will be a bunch to do, so we're always looking for volunteers!
  • Individuals and groups are welcome!
  • Shifts include (but are not limited to):
    • 6am - 11am: Volunteers will help set up the Health Festival and assist vendors with set up.
    • 11am - 3pm: Volunteers will hand out souvenir booklets, work with the stage crew on video & sound, and get testimonials from health partners, vendors, and participants.
    • 3pm - 7pm: Volunteers will help with breakdown and continue outreach.
